The north coast

  1. Grand CaseCruise along the bay of the island's gourmet village.
  2. Creole Rock or Petite PlageSnorkelling in a protected nature reserve, or a small quiet beach nearby.
  3. Anse MarcelA sheltered bay where you'll often spot sea turtles.

Fuel: about €40 to €80, depending on the version

Longer version: on a full day and if the sea allows, carry on to Pinel for lunch on the beach, then Tintamarre and its turtles.

The west coast beaches

  1. Baie RougeThe first beach on the way, to take in from the water.
  2. Plum BayThe cruise carries on along Terres Basses, past cliffs and villas.
  3. La SamannaOne of the island's finest spots: drop anchor at the end of Baie Longue for a swim, then the sunset.

Good to know: the crossing needs our written approval. We help you with the clearance, and the clearance fees are paid by you. Sandy Island and Prickly Pear Cays need our approval too.

The coves next door

  1. Friar's BayA beach and restaurants where locals go, for lunch with your feet in the sand.
  2. Happy BayA quiet beach of fine sand, sheltered from the wind, easiest to reach by boat.

The plus: a few minutes from the marina, these sheltered, fine-sand coves are the best option when the sea is rough.
